8:00 AM: We will pick you up at your hotel and depart for Hoa Lu – Tam Coc, enjoying the beautiful rural scenery along the way.
10:30 AM: After arriving in Ninh Binh province, the tour guide will take you to visit Hoa Lu – the ancient capital of Vietnam. We will visit the Dinh King Temple and Le King Temple from the 10th century, learning about the heroic history of these two kings during the wars against China. Afterwards, we will proceed to Tam Coc (10 km from Hoa Lu). Have lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch, you will take a bamboo boat—rowed by locals—on the Hoang Long River to visit Tam Coc (three caves). You will pass through three enormous caves, which offer a brief respite from the harsh summer sun. It takes about two hours to travel by boat downstream, and along the way, you will witness the daily life of local fishermen, riverside village life, and, of course, the spectacular limestone formations that Tam Coc is famous for.
If you enjoy cycling, this is also a great idea. You will have the opportunity to explore authentic villages and stunning landscapes by bicycle for about an hour (starting from the restaurant).
4:00 PM: We will get on the vehicle to return to Hanoi.
6:30 PM: Arrive in Hanoi, drop you off at your hotel, and the tour ends.
