Day 1: Hanoi – Ha Giang City (B)

• 08:00 | Departure: Depart from Hanoi and begin the scenic drive north toward Ha Giang province.

• Midday | Tuyen Quang Stop: Break the journey in Tuyen Quang City for lunch (at your own expense).

• 15:30 | Arrival & Check-in: Arrive in Ha Giang City and check into your accommodation. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon at your leisure to rest or explore the local surroundings.

• Overnight: Yen Bien Hotel or Phoenix Hotel (4-star), Ha Giang.

Day 2: Ha Giang – Dong Van Karst Plateau (B, L)

• 07:30 | The Loop Begins: Depart Ha Giang for the incredible Dong Van Karst Plateau. En route, make photo stops at the Quan Ba Twin Mountains, the winding Tham Ma Pass, the picturesque Sung La Valley, and the historic Hmong King’s Palace (Dinh Vua Meo).

• Midday | Local Lunch: Enjoy regional cuisine at a local restaurant in Dong Van town.

• Afternoon | Thien Thuong Village: Drive to Thien Thuong to discover an ancient settlement of the Tay and Nung ethnic groups. Explore the unique “Trinh Tuong” houses, built with distinctive thick, earth-rammed walls designed to withstand harsh mountain climates.

• Overnight: Hoa Cuong Hotel (or authentic local homestay with dinner), Dong Van.

Day 3: Dong Van – Lung Cu & Lo Lo Chai (B)

• Morning | The Northernmost Point: After breakfast, drive to the Lung Cu National Flag Tower, an iconic symbol of Vietnam’s sovereignty. Climb to the top for breathtaking panoramic views of the Chinese border and the surrounding karst peaks.

• Late Morning | Lo Lo Chai Village: Journey to the nearby Lo Lo Chai village. Take a walking tour to discover the fascinating culture and daily life of the Lo Lo ethnic minority. Observe their traditional clay houses surrounded by distinctive stone fences.

• Afternoon | Leisure Time: Return to Dong Van and enjoy a free afternoon to relax or wander the Old Quarter.

Day 4: Dong Van – Ma Pi Leng Pass – Cao Bang (B)

• 08:00 | Ma Pi Leng Pass: Depart for Cao Bang, starting with a drive over the legendary Ma Pi Leng Pass. Stop at the viewpoint to marvel at the spectacular mountainous terrain and the emerald Nho Que River winding through the deep valley below.

• Morning | Tu San Canyon Boat Trip: Descend to the boat quay for a scenic cruise on the Nho Que River, navigating through the towering cliffs of the awe-inspiring Tu San Canyon.

• Midday | Meo Vac & Lunch: Disembark and continue the drive to Cao Bang. Stop to visit a traditional H’mong village in Meo Vac before taking a lunch break at a local restaurant in Bao Lam (at your own expense).

• Afternoon | Scenic Drive to Cao Bang: Continue the journey, soaking in the beautiful northeast landscapes. Check into your hotel upon arrival and enjoy a free evening.

• Overnight: Muong Thanh Luxury Hotel, Cao Bang.

Day 5: Cao Bang – Ban Gioc Waterfall & Nguom Ngao Cave (B, L)

• 08:00 | Journey to the Border: Depart for Ban Gioc. Traverse the winding Ma Phuc Pass and explore the magnificent stalactite formations inside Nguom Ngao Cave.

• Midday | Local Lunch: Dine at a regional restaurant near the waterfall.

• Afternoon | Ban Gioc Waterfall: Arrive at Ban Gioc, the largest and most spectacular waterfall in Vietnam. Board a bamboo raft on the Quay Son River to get up close to the cascading water for incredible photo opportunities.

• Late Afternoon | Truc Lam Pagoda: Visit the serene Phat Tich Truc Lam Ban Gioc Pagoda to enjoy a peaceful atmosphere and panoramic views of the waterfall and the border valley before returning to the city.

Day 6: Cao Bang – Return to Hanoi (B)

• 10:00 | Departure: Check out of the hotel and begin the return journey to Hanoi.
